Transportation Manager (Competition #OA5)

Reporting to the Vice President Operations, the Transportation Manager will be responsible for managing the transportation and logistical requirements for delegates, tools, equipment, and materials related to the 2009 WorldSkills Competition.  The Transportation Manager must have knowledge and expertise to create and implement a transportation and logistical plan that will ensure all tools and materials related to the event are where they are needed on time and within budget.  Also, the Transportation Manager is responsible for ensuring that all materials and equipment are shipped as required to their ultimate destination after the event.  Term position to December 15the 2009. 

Event Coordinator (Competition #OA6)

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Event Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing meetings related to the technical volunteers including the arrangements for travel accommodation and meals.  The Event Coordinator must have expertise related to meeting and travel planning.  All arrangements related to the technical volunteers for the event in 2009 as well as the prior meetings will be the responsibility of the coordinator.  The Event Coordinator will also be responsible for collating, recording, and reporting information from these meetings to the appropriate parties therefore excellent communication skills are required.  This is an entry level position ideal for someone who wishes to gain expertise in international and event management.  Term position to September 30th, 2009.

Manager of Marketing (Competition #EA2)

Reporting to the President, the Manager of Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing a detailed marketing plan in support of the WorldSkills Calgary 2009 brand.  The Manager of Marketing requires a strong personal belief in the mission of WorldSkills Calgary 2009, a post-secondary education in a related discipline, marketing experience for a large scale special event or an equivalent combination of experience and education.  Your superior interpersonal, computer, communication, research and presentation skills are accompanied by your strong work ethic and your ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment.  Term position to September 30th, 2009.

Manager of Communication and Media Relations (Competition #EA3)

Reporting to the President, the Manager of Communication and Media Relations will be responsible for developing and implementing a detailed Communication and Media Relations plan in support of the WorldSkills Calgary 2009 competition.  The Manager of Communication and Media Relations requires a strong personal belief in the mission of WorldSkills Calgary 2009, a post-secondary education in a related discipline, communication and media relations experience for large scale special events or an equivalent combination of experience and education.  Your superior interpersonal, computer, communication, research and presentation skills are accompanied by your strong work ethic and your ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment.  Term position to September 30th, 2009.

Sponsorship Coordinator (Competition #EA4)

Reporting to the Sponsorship Director, the Sponsorship Coordinator will be responsible for working closely with the Sponsorship team to prepare cultivation materials, participate in presentations and finalize sponsorship agreements.  The Sponsorship Coordinator requires strong interpersonal skills to be able to relate to the many potential sponsors, a post-secondary education in a related discipline, communication and marketing experience for special events or an equivalent combination of experience and education.  Your superior interpersonal, computer, communication, graphic and presentation skills are accompanied by your strong work ethic and your ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment.  This is an entry-level position ideal for someone who wishes to gain experience in the sponsorship field.  Term position to September 30th, 2009.
