The competition will include parallel events including Opening and Closing Ceremonies, each drawing 10,000 people, a WorldSkills Leaders' Forum for international dialogue and solutions, and a Global Skills Village for networking and exhibits. Global Skills Village The Global Skills Village is an exhibition area, meeting place and networking venue, where WorldSkills members and affiliated organizations and companies can demonstrate, discuss and present ideas and information on topics relating to their interest and involvement in technical and vocational education. The aim of the Global Skills Village is to offer an open and truly international meeting place for vocational professionals. The Global Skills Village provides a lively and interactive way of facilitating dialogue and exchange between delegates and visitors. The Global Skills Village brings together education institutions: teachers, employers, industry and governments. It provides a unique opportunity for networking and exchange - helping promote best practices and learning from each other. Centrally located with over 6,000 square meters of space, this venue will be one of the biggest meeting and social places on the park. Tradeshow booths in the Global Skills Village will go on sale in the Fall of 2008.
