CNC Milling covers the processing of work-pieces through metal cutting with "Computer Numerical Control" (CNC) milling machines." The abbreviation (CNC) refers to a computer ("control") that reads instructions ("G-code") and drives the machine tool, a powered mechanical device ("milling machine"), used to fabricate components by the selective removal of material. With the increased automation of manufacturing process with CNC machining there have been considerable improvements in consistency and quality achieved.
